Our Story

Pentyrch Rangers AFC have been running for nearly 30 years and fields teams from Under 7 all the way through to Youth (under 18) as well as a Veterans team.  These teams play in the Cardiff & District League.

The Club provides facilities and opportunities for youngsters with different talents and abilities to develop their footballing skills and understanding of the game.  Taking part in training and playing football also provides youngsters with the opportunities to develop their social and communication skills.  As a community based club, Pentyrch Rangers recognises that developing its players’ skills goes hand in hand with making their footballing experience positive and enjoyable.

We have over 250 players from all over north Cardiff, supported by a strong team of nearly 70 qualified coaches, who train and play at our two pitches in Pentyrch or at local all-weather pitches during the winter evenings. Many of our coaches run training sessions during the summer months too for those children who would like to keep fit and work on their football skills out of season.

We have an active Fundraising Committee who run Sponsored Walks, Race Nights, Club 100 raffles and our now famous Pentyrch Rangers Fun Day which had over 1500 people from all over Cardiff attend last year.
